What I want

What do I want?

I want a career and not a job.

I want to be successful at that career.

I want to go on an adventure, to get to a point in life where I can just go out on the road and explore and not have to worry about how to do it or getting time to it, just to it.

I want my work in art to out live me.

I want my name and works it belongs to to be mentioned in classes the way professors talk about Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Pollock, Parks, Salinger, Kerouac, and Hemingway.

I want to matter.

I want my work to matter.

I want to be brave enough to do something and not be afraid to fail at it.

I want to take risks regardless of the reward or vilification.

I want to stand on my own and not be afraid to do so.

I want to make that one piece that will be synonymous with my name.

I want to be better.

I want to be the best.

I want to be at peace with myself.

I want to forgive myself for holding me back.

I want to be happy…as everyone does.
